Milpark Hospital Shooting Leaves 45-Year-Old Man Dead In Suspected Hit

Johannesburg authorities are investigating after a 45-year-old man was shot dead in the parking lot of Milpark Hospital on Wednesday, 1 October 2025. The incident occurred shortly after 8PM, following the victim’s visit to a friend at the hospital.

South African journalist and anti-crime activist Yusuf Abramjee reported on X:
“Reports of shooting inside the parking area of Milpark Hospital, JHB. One person shot dead- appears to be a hit. Police are on the scene.”

Milpark Hospital Shooting: Victim Shot Multiple Times, Police Investigate

Abramjee added, “The victim was shot several times.” The severity of the attack has raised concerns over possible targeted violence in the city.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) has classified the incident as a murder, but no arrests have been made so far.

Police spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
“The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and the motive is still unknown,” said Sibeko.

Authorities urge anyone with information about the shooting to come forward as investigations continue.
