Mike Tyson Runs Out Of Steam As Jake Paul Takes Win

Mike Tyson gave it his all but Jake Paul came out on top in their fight at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Friday night. Paul won by unanimous decision, with one judge giving him all eight rounds and the other two judges giving Iron Mike just one round each.

How the Fight Between Paul And Tyson Went Down

Tyson started strong, but by the third round, he was looking a bit tired. Paul landed three straight left hooks early in the round and took control from there. Tyson, at 58, tried his best to keep up, but it just wasn’t enough against the 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer.

The fight was supposed to happen in July, but it got postponed because Tyson had to deal with an ulcer flare-up. Paul, who started his boxing career in 2020, has been on a roll with six straight victories against former MMA fighters. His only loss was to Tommy Fury in February 2023, but since then, he’s won four in a row.

A Fight of Many Rounds

Both fighters wore 14-ounce gloves, and the bout was fought over eight two-minute rounds. Tyson came out aggressively in the first round, but neither fighter landed anything significant. By the second round, Paul landed a body shot to assert himself, but Tyson controlled the ring.

In the third round, Paul hit Tyson with those three left hooks and took the lead. Tyson started to lose steam, and Paul kept the pressure on. By the fourth round, it was clear Tyson was slowing down, and Paul did enough to win the round.

The fifth round saw Paul as the aggressor, landing a body shot and a right hook to finish strong. Paul continued to control the fight in the sixth round, keeping Tyson at bay with power shots.

Tyson tried to make a comeback in the seventh round, landing a left hook early, but Paul’s combinations proved too much. By the final round, Paul looked comfortable, throwing jabs and landing combos. Tyson just didn’t have the energy left for a final push.

The Final Verdict

Paul won the fight 78-74 on the RDS.cacard, and Tyson had to bow out after running out of steam. It was a tough fight for the former heavyweight champ, but at 58, it’s understandable that keeping up with a young opponent like Paul was a challenge.
