Micky Van de Ven’s Double Leads Tottenham To 3-0 Victory Over Everton At New Stadium

Tottenham Hotspur clinched a commanding 3-0 Premier League victory over Everton on Sunday, marking the first time a visiting side has triumphed in the Merseyside club’s new stadium.

Dutch defender Micky van de Ven was the star of the afternoon, scoring two first-half headers that set the tone for the visitors’ dominant display.

Although Spurs started slowly, they soon found their rhythm. In the 19th minute, Van de Ven opened the scoring, nodding home from close range after a well-delivered corner found him waiting right on the goal line.

Everton briefly believed they had drawn level when Jake O’Brien’s header crashed into the net, but the goal was ruled out for a foul on Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

Tottenham Tighten Grip With Late Third Goal

Van de Ven struck again in first-half stoppage time, heading in another corner to double Tottenham’s advantage and leave Everton with a steep uphill battle.

The hosts pressed for a comeback after the break, but Vicario stood firm, pulling off several impressive saves to deny Everton’s best chances. In the closing minutes, substitute Pape Matar Sarr added a third goal with a well-placed header, sealing an emphatic win for the visitors.

The result lifts Tottenham to third place in the Premier League table, with 17 points from nine matches, while Everton continue to search for form at their new home ground.
