Meta Develops AI Agents To Support Personal Goals And Business Growth, Says Mark Zuckerberg

Meta is developing a new generation of artificial intelligence agents designed to assist users in both their personal lives and business activities, according to CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The initiative forms part of the company’s broader push into advanced AI capabilities.

Speaking during the company’s first-quarter earnings call on Wednesday, Zuckerberg outlined plans for tools that go beyond traditional assistants. These agents, he said, are intended to help users actively pursue and achieve a wide range of goals.

The upcoming technology builds on Meta’s recently launched Muse Spark model, the first release from its Superintelligence Labs division, signalling a deeper investment in AI-driven innovation.

Meta AI Agents Aimed At Personal Productivity And Everyday Goals

Zuckerberg explained that Meta’s vision is to create AI systems that can operate continuously to support users. “Our goal is not just to deliver Meta AI as an assistant, but to deliver agents that can understand your goals and then work day and night to help you achieve them,” he said.

He added that the company is designing a personal agent to assist individuals in managing and achieving various life objectives. These tools are expected to handle tasks more proactively, offering support that extends beyond simple queries or commands.

Business-Focused AI Tools To Help Entrepreneurs Scale And Reach Customers

Alongside personal applications, Meta is also building AI agents tailored for businesses. Zuckerberg said these tools will help entrepreneurs and companies expand their reach and improve customer engagement.

“We’re also building a business agent focused on helping entrepreneurs and businesses across the world use our tools and others to grow their efforts, reach new customers and serve existing customers better,” he said.

While no release date has been confirmed, Zuckerberg emphasised that accessibility remains a key priority. He pointed to existing agent platforms such as OpenClaw as promising but not yet user-friendly.

“There’s a lot of agents out there that people are building for different things, and there aren’t that many that I would want to give to my mother,” he said.

“How do you make a version of that experience that is a lot more polished and dialed and easy, and that has all the infrastructure basically done for people already.”
