MaYeni Finally Snapped And Dragged Musa Mseleku For His Son’s Lobola Disrespect!

MaYeni Finally Snapped And Dragged Musa Mseleku For His Son’s Lobola Disrespect!

Musa Mseleku thought he was going to slide through another episode of Uthando Nes’thembu unbothered. He thought wrong. Because MaYeni — long-suffering, perpetually sidelined, done-with-the-nonsense MaYeni — finally opened her mouth and said everything we have been waiting for her to say.

And when she started, she did not stop. She dragged that man from the lobola negotiations straight to the ancestors and back. Calmly. Clearly. With receipts. Eish. We were not prepared.

MaYeni Finds Out About Her Son’s Lobola

Let’s set the scene. Mpumelelo — Musa’s son with MaYeni — paid lobola to Amahle Biyela’s family back in July 2025. Big moment. Major milestone. The kind of thing a mother waits her whole life to be part of.

Except MaYeni wasn’t part of it. At all. Not a phone call. Not a heads up. Not even a “hey, just so you know.”

The preparations happened in her own home, under her own roof, while she was right there — and nobody thought to loop her in.

When viewers and people around her started asking her questions about the new daughter-in-law, MaYeni had nothing to say because she genuinely knew nothing. And that humiliation? That was the thing that broke the dam open.

She said it plainly — she carried Mpumelelo alone at one point. She and Musa broke up, and she raised that boy by herself when things fell apart. They eventually got back together, but the moment something important happened involving their son, she was treated like a stranger in her own story.

“Everything happened right here in this house, while I was here, but nobody told me anything,” she said.

And then she took it further — pointing out that now the Biyela family is out here watching this show wondering why their daughter’s mother-in-law seems cold or distant, when the truth is MaYeni never even got the chance to know the girl. She was robbed of that relationship before it even started.

Then Musa — bless his audacity — tried to pass the whole thing off as Mpumelelo’s problem to sort out. MaYeni looked at him and basically said: absolutely not, sir. Iyoh. The nerve.

Mzansi Has Had It With Musa Mseleku — And the Comments Are Cutting DEEP

The clip made rounds fast, shared by @rivo_iris who captioned it with the energy the whole timeline was feeling:

@rivo_iris: “Nah, I’d be as mad as Shibase, how do ya’ll not involve her when her son eLobola? I get why she’s hurt. Musa is a wicked man.”

@pamela_phumi: “Musa doesn’t respect MaYeni; he hates her. Y’all remember how quickly he called Macele after Lwandle told him that he might have impregnated a girl. He didn’t even sleep on it, he immediately drove to Sea Park. But he couldn’t afford Mayeni the same respect. Sies.”

@YMzimkulu: “Mseleku is an uncultured core narcissist, like the Yeni family should have given a cow as well to accompany Mpumelelo’s cows to his in-laws, since Mpumelelo is their nephew.”

That @pamela_phumi comment is the one that hit different because the comparison is RIGHT THERE for everyone to see. When it was about another wife’s child and a potential scandal, Musa moved with urgency.

Jumped in the car. Drove through the night. But MaYeni’s son gets lobola negotiations happening in her own living room and she finds out from strangers?
That is not an oversight. That is a pattern. And Mzansi has clocked it fully.

MaYeni has been the quiet one, the overlooked one, the one Musa seems to engage with least on this show. But she showed up in this episode and reminded everyone exactly who she is. A mother. A woman who sacrificed. Someone who deserved a phone call at the very minimum.

Mpumelelo, baby — you have some explaining to do. And Musa? The ancestors are watching, wena.
