MaWhoo Claps Back At Explosive DJ Maphorisa Hook-Up Allegations – But Mzansi Isn’t Buying It

The Amapiano streets are on fire after hitmaker MaWhoo finally broke her silence on jaw-dropping claims that she allegedly slept her way to the top with DJ Maphorisa.

The drama started when controversial producer Tebogo G Mashego—currently at war with Maphorisa over unpaid Biri Marung royalties—decided to air dirty laundry during one of his wild livestream rants on 23 September 2025. While dragging Porry for allegedly owing him millions, Mashego casually dropped a bomb that left social media in flames:

“Before MaWhoo became a celebrity, she was Porry’s girlfriend. Porry and MaWhoo were sexually involved before she was a celebrity.”

Not stopping there, Mashego even suggested that MaWhoo’s sudden rise to fame was all thanks to Porry’s “help.”

“That’s Porry’s Money” – More Fuel to the Fire 

Adding petrol to the blaze, Piano Pulse host Sfiso Ndlovu jumped into the mix, claiming that MaWhoo was spotted cruising in a white Mercedes-Benz G63 allegedly belonging to Maphorisa.

“MaWhoo is driving a white G-Wagon. That’s Porry’s money. I know Porry’s money when I see it. That’s the same car Thuli Phongolo used to roll in,” Ndlovu said, stirring the pot even further.

MaWhoo—who has worked with Maphorisa, Mthandeni SK, and Kabza De Small—has been enjoying nationwide success, but these accusations have left many wondering if her career glow-up has a darker side.

MaWhoo Hits Back 

Fed up with the chatter, MaWhoo took to Facebook later that day to deny everything:

“I’ve never dated/chowed anyone in the industry.”

But her sharp clapback only fuelled more gossip, with critics claiming her response sounded like an “admission of guilt” rather than a clean shutdown.

Social Media Isn’t Convinced 

Mzansi’s keyboard detectives were quick to flood the comments, and let’s just say… they’re not buying what MaWhoo is selling:

The scandal stems from Mashego’s ongoing royalty war with Maphorisa over their hit Biri Marung, but as his rants get messier, more fans are starting to wonder if his claims about the “dark side of the industry” might hold some truth.
