Mawhoo Attacked On The Road?! Singer Misses Sun City NYE Show After Alleged Racial Assault

Things took a dark and terrifying turn for award-winning vocalist Mawhoo (real name Ntobeko Ngema) after she was forced to miss the RustyRocks Metro FM Tap Into 2026 New Year’s Eve event at Sun City Resort—not by choice, but after her team was allegedly attacked while travelling to the venue.

Instead of counting down to the new year on stage, the singer ended 2025 shaken and traumatised, with visible damage to her touring vehicle and a serious allegation that has left fans stunned.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Mawhoo shared a disturbing video showing her damaged touring van, revealing why she never made it to the highly anticipated New Year’s Eve performance.

In the clip, the singer alleged that her team was attacked by a group she described as “amabhunu/boer” while travelling to what was meant to be her final gig of the year.

“Got attacked by amabhunu/boer izolo on our way to our last gig. These people attacked our team, bashaya no driver wami,” she wrote.
