Mashaba Claims Undocumented Foreign Nationals Behind Kubheka Case as Police Continue Probe

Herman Mashaba, leader of ActionSA, says undocumented foreign nationals are behind the incident involving Vosloorus businessman Mazwi Kubheka, who has been found alive after weeks of being missing.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) confirmed that Kubheka presented himself at the Vosloorus Police Station on Saturday afternoon.

Kubheka, 27, had not been seen since April 2, prompting concern within the community and a wider investigation.

Family Describes Kubheka’s Condition as Serious

Kubheka’s family remained at an Ekurhuleni hospital where he is receiving medical attention.

While there was relief that he had been found alive, relatives described his condition as deeply concerning.

His sister, Nomhle Kubheka, said the family is supporting him through a difficult recovery. “He is bad. He is shaking like a leaf, he is jumpy, he cries, he screams, he is angry,” she said.

Family members described the atmosphere as a mix of relief and distress following his return.

Mashaba Points to Immigration Motive, Police Urge Caution

Mashaba said authorities had identified a possible motive linked to illegal immigration.

“What I can confirm is that we’ve got illegal, undocumented foreign nationals behind this mess that we’ve gone through these past couple of days,” he said.

However, SAPS has maintained that the motive remains under investigation and has not confirmed any link to immigration at this stage.

Authorities have urged patience as investigations continue.

Investigation Ongoing as Authorities Seek Answers

Police are continuing to gather information to determine what happened during Kubheka’s disappearance.

No suspects have been officially confirmed, and further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.

Kubheka is expected to undergo further questioning and medical evaluation as part of the process.
