Missing officers

National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola confirmed that Constable Keamogetswe Buys, Constable Boipelo Senoge, and Constable Cebekhulu Linda had been identified by their families at the Tshwane mortuary.

“It has been a difficult six days for members of the South African Police Service and affected families, as we searched everywhere for our three missing police officers,” said Masemola during a media briefing.

The officers were last seen early Thursday morning at a petrol station near the Grasmere Toll Plaza.

Their untraceable vehicle, a Volkswagen Polo hatchback with registration number JCL 401 FS, raised concerns when all tracking devices and cellphones were turned off shortly afterward.

A high-level investigation team tracked their movement from the Grasmere Toll Plaza through the Buccleuch interchange to Centurion’s John Vorster Drive, eventually leading to the grim discovery in the Hennops River.
