Man Accused Of Faking Hijacking Brutally Assaulted

A 42-year-old man was severely assaulted and stabbed by his employer in Canehaven, KZN.

The incident occurred on Saturday, after being accused of fabricating a hijacking incident.

The man claimed that he was hijacked on Umgeni Road in Durban, KZN, on Friday afternoon, and robbed of his employer’s silver Toyota Etios and his Huawei cellphone.

Robbery Incident

According to the man, he was robbed of his employee car and his cellphone.

The man explained that, he spent the night under a bridge with drug users and managed to seek assistance from a member of the public this morning.

He was transported back to his employer’s residence in Canehaven – KZN.

Upon narrating the incident, his employer & a second individual assaulted him with a wheel spanner and accused him of fabricating the incident.

His employer allegedly believed that he pawned the vehicle to a drug dealer in exchange for narcotics.

The injured man was transported to a medical facility after seeking refuge at his father’s home in Shastri Park, KZN.

He plans to register a criminal case against his attackers.
