Pinky Gumede Calls Out Moja Love & Thomas Gumede
Mampintha’s sister’s outrage was reignited after seeing the trailer for Moja Love’s upcoming reality show, Wena Wodumo, set to premiere on 29 March. She alleges that producers Thomas Gumede and Lungile Radu convinced her and her mother to film two seasons of uThando Lodumo but paid them peanuts.
“We shot two seasons with them, and we were badly paid. Even then, we were ill-treated, and we had to fight for our money,” she told Sunday World.
Following Mampintsha’s passing, the Parental Advisory Production team allegedly approached the Gumedes for Season 3. Initially, they refused, but according to Pinky, Thomas Gumede pulled a sympathy card, saying it was for the well-being of Mampintsha’s child.
“He apologised and even promised to do things right. He said we must think of Mampintsha’s child. And he said if we refuse to shoot, we might jeopardise the child’s future. Based on this, we agreed—but we never signed any documents.”
Claims of Being “Ghosted” & Fighting for Her Coins
Pinky alleges that after Mampintsha’s funeral, Thomas ghosted her, and when she inquired about the contract, she was given empty promises.
