SARS Ain’t Done Yet! MaMkhize’s Premium Booze Collection Next On Auction Block

South Africa’s favourite glam mogul, Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize, is truly facing a difficult time . The South African Revenue Service (SARS) is back for round three, and this time… they’re coming for her premium alcohol collection.
After seizing her luxury rides and designer handbags earlier this year, SARS is reportedly set to auction off 363 bottles of her exclusive booze stash, worth a small fortune.

The lineup features some of the world’s most elite labels — Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Luc Belaire, Glenmorangie, and even a 21-year-old bottle of Royal Salute. Basically, SARS said, “We’ll take that too.”
SARS Cracks Down Again
In case you missed it, MaMkhize’s Lamborghini Urus and 23 designer handbags fetched R5.6 million in October’s auction — and before that, 10 of her luxury cars (including a Bentley Continental GTC and Royal AM-branded rides) pulled in R8.2 million back in July.

But that’s still not enough to cover her R40 million tax bill. According to News24, SARS will be hosting another Bidder’s Choice auction from 25 to 27 November 2025, and a R20,000 deposit will be required to get in on the action. First come, first served — so if you’ve ever dreamed of sipping MaMkhize’s Moët, now’s your chance.
Mamkhize Moves From Luxury to Liability
It’s not just the taxman giving MaMkhize headaches. The Pietermaritzburg High Court recently ruled that her R27 million sponsorship deal between Msunduzi Municipality and Royal AM was unlawful — ordering her to pay it back.
Judge Nontuthuzelo Mlaba noted that the municipality seemed to benefit more from “marketing and PR” than actual value — leaving MaMkhize’s already shaky finances even more tangled.

So between the R40 million SARS drama, the court-ordered payback, and now losing her champagne collection, Mzansi’s boss lady is feeling the full weight of financial pressure.
But if there’s one thing MaMkhize knows how to do, it’s bounce back — even if it means starting from the bottom of a champagne bottle.
