Malema Rejects Corruption Claims, Clashes With Mkhwanazi Over Allegations

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has strongly denied corruption allegations, criticising KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi for linking him to disputes within the police leadership.
Malema made the remarks during the party’s National Voter Registration Launch held at Gandhi Square, where he addressed supporters and responded to claims raised in ongoing investigations.
The EFF leader insisted that he should not be drawn into disagreements involving Police Crime Counter-Intelligence head Feroz Khan, distancing himself from any alleged connections.

Testimony at the Madlanga Commission has referenced Khan in connection with businessman Brown Mogotsi, who is alleged to have ties to criminal activities.
Malema acknowledged that he knows Khan but rejected any suggestion of wrongdoing or association with illicit networks.
He has also been mentioned at the Commission in relation to claims that he influenced a security tender within the Tshwane Municipality in 2024. Malema has dismissed these allegations outright.

Responding directly to the claims, Malema rejected any suggestion of corrupt relationships involving himself and individuals within law enforcement structures.
