The premier’s efforts to make the event special did not go unnoticed. “I really appreciate the effort and time you created to put a smile on my face. You made it possible to go meet my fans in the dusty streets of Hamashaba and other surrounding areas,” Makhadzi added.
Reflecting on her humble beginnings, Makhadzi recounted, “This video was taken in front of Boxer where it all started. I used to sell CDs in front of Thohoyandou Boxer. My fans were happy to see me holding a BET Award.”

As she proudly stated, “I now believe we have many superstars coming to represent us as a country after touching this. They all know it started from the dusty streets of Hamashaba Tshivhangani to the BET.”
