MacG begs Minnie Dlamini For Forgiveness After Nasty Breakup Comments Had SA In Flames!

MacG begs Minnie Dlamini For Forgiveness After Nasty Breakup Comments Had SA In Flames!

In a move nobody saw coming, Podcast and Chill host Macgyver “MacG” Mukwevho has finally swallowed his pride and issued an apology to media darling Minnie Dlamini after that shady comment that set Mzansi alight.

MacG had the streets talking when he speculated about Minnie’s alleged body odour and dragged her name while gossiping about her split from plastic surgeon Dr Brian Monaisa. His crass jab about her ability to “keep a man” had everyone clutching their pearls.

But on Monday’s episode of his podcast, MacG switched gears with a humble pie moment: “I want to apologise, first and foremost to all the female chillers, and women in general in SA I might have offended with that comment. That was not the intention. We never say things to offend people.”

He didn’t stop there — MacG extended a public invitation to Minnie to join him on the pod, saying,

“You are more than welcome to come. This thing started on the podcast, let’s end it on the podcast. She said some things, I said some things. Let’s squash it once and for all.”

Mzansi’s watching closely — will Minnie accept the invite or leave MacG on seen?

Backlash Was Loud and Unforgiving

While MacG might be in apology mode now, let’s not forget how loud the backlash was when this tea first spilled. His comments didn’t just stir gossip — they triggered real outrage.

Women’s advocacy group Women For Change didn’t hold back, releasing a fiery statement slamming the podcaster for pushing toxic narratives disguised as banter:

“Women For Change is deeply disturbed by the misogynistic and degrading remarks made by MacG on his podcast regarding Minnie Dlamini… His comments are not only vile and dehumanising but also reflect the deeply rooted toxic masculinity that continues to endanger and humiliate women in SA.”

And they didn’t stop there. The group labelled Podcast and Chill as more than just controversial:

“His platform is no longer only controversial, it is dangerous… It contributes to a culture that sees women as objects, mocks their pain and reinforces patriarchal values.”

Sheesh! The callout was so strong, even die-hard “Chillers” were side-eyeing the mic.

Will Minnie Clap Back or Chill It Out?

As the dust starts to settle, the big question remains: will Minnie pull up for a sit-down? Or is MacG’s olive branch coming a little too late?

Social media has been torn — some want to see the two hash it out on the same platform where the drama began, while others are urging Minnie to stay above the mess. Either way, the streets are hungry for this showdown.

With the apology now out there, it’s a waiting game. Will we get the collab episode no one expected? Or will Minnie let her silence speak louder than words?
