Lolitha Kowa, 7, Murder Accused Abandon Bail Application In Khayelitsha

The two people accused of murdering seven-year-old Lolitha Kowa have abandoned their bail application in the Khayelitsha Magistrates Court. Their families reportedly refused to provide alternative addresses, leaving the court with no option but to keep them in custody.

The accused, Odwa Jack and Nokuthula Matyeseni, are facing charges of murder and sexual assault. The case sparked outrage in the Kuyasa community after Lolitha’s body was found dumped near her home last month.

Community Packs Courtroom as Tensions Rise

Emotions ran high as community members and relatives of the deceased filled the courtroom to witness the proceedings. Lolitha was last seen alive playing with Matyeseni’s daughter before her tragic death.
