Limpopo Teen Arrested After Alleged Rape Of Two Boys (8 And 14)

An 18-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the alleged rape of two boys in a village outside Tzaneen, Limpopo.
According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), the victims, aged eight and 14, were sharing a room with the suspect, who is reportedly their cousin.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba confirmed that the suspect was apprehended following a manhunt.

“Preliminary investigations indicated that both victims share a room with their 18-year-old male cousin, who is the suspect in the matter.
“The suspect allegedly threatened the victims not to disclose the incidents. The elderly victim later informed his mother, and the incident was immediately reported to the local police. A manhunt was launched, and the suspect was eventually apprehended,” Ledwaba said.

Police say the older child alerted his parents, prompting the case to be opened and investigated.
Suspect to Appear in Court
The suspect is expected to appear in court soon, where he will face charges related to the alleged offences.
Authorities have indicated that investigations are ongoing.
Police have reiterated the importance of reporting abuse and have encouraged communities to come forward with information to protect vulnerable children.
