Recall, that mourners buried another soldier—the eighth from Limpopo—in the Vhembe region last weekend. Fetakgomo Tubatse Mayor Eddy Maila personally assisted the family of Tseke Moffat Molapo, the soldier from the SA Infantry Battalion who will be buried on Saturday in Moroke village near Burgersfort.
Maila donated groceries worth R5,500 and provided two cows valued at R22,500 to help the family with funeral expenses. Also, Maila has extended his condolences to the family, as this period of mourning has been difficult for both the family and the government,” said Thabiso Mokoena, Maila’s office manager.

“This gesture aims to ease the family’s burden and acknowledge the role that the late Moffat played in maintaining peace and stability in the region. Their loss is our loss, and their grief is our grief.”

Premier Ramathuba has urged communities to support the grieving families during and after the funerals.
“We are in a time of mourning, and the families need our support during this tragic period,” she said. “Now that all funeral arrangements are in place, we will stand with these families.
“We wish them strength and express our deep gratitude for the selfless service their sons have provided to our country.”
