Nicole Watson, a Real Housewives of Johannesburg (RHOJ) star, says she’s had enough of the phone calls and messages following her ex-partner Veli Ngubane’s engagement to Afternoon Express presenter Palesa Tembe.
According to insiders who spoke to Zimoja, Nicole and Veli’s breakup is still new, as he was set to appear on the third season of RHOJ with her. One source claimed that the businessman changed his mind on the day of shooting.
Another insider revealed that, while they were already engaged when Veli asked Nicole’s father for her hand in marriage in 2018, he had planned to surprise her with an engagement ring on the show.
“He had planned a surprise with the help of some cast members but changed his mind. Maybe he realised he was in love with Palesa Tembe,” said the source.
Palesa, according to another mole, was constantly present.
“When Ngubane got sick after his surgery, he went and stayed with Watson, the two were working on their relationship, but as soon as he healed he left and went back to his lover.”
Nicole, on the other hand, expresses her happiness for her baby daddy and his new fiance and wishes them the best.
“I don’t know how many calls I got this week from people checking up on me. I am fine… he has moved on and I am happy for him and wish them all the best,” the reality TV star said.
The actress went on to say that she wasn’t going to rush into marriage with Veli because they had important issues to work through.
Palesa, the late Anele Tembe’s sister, took to Instagram on Wednesday to post breathtaking photos of her luxurious and intimate engagement, which took place at the Quoin Rock Wine Lounge in Stellenbosch.
The happy couple went all out to surprise Palesa with a helicopter trip, romantic music on the grand white piano, roses, and, of course, the special moment.
