Ama2K are here to confuse the older generation and the Maths lit gang struu! At first, we thought the “if not us, then when” phrase on their Matric jersey was incorrect and now they’ve come up with creative ways to write the year they matriculated in.
A Matric jersey with a trigonometry equation has gone viral on Twitter. So the jersey has the words “Matric sin(30°). 4046” engraved on it instead of Matric 2023.
The quick thinkers who did pure Mathematics will know that sin(30°) in trigonometry equals a half (1/2) but for the rest of us, that’s some rocket science LOL!
If you use a calculator the equation will be easy to solve as you’ll get 2023. I’m not going to explain further before I expose my maths skills. But here’s what social media had to say about the creative ways used on that jersey.
