Lekompo Star Nova SA Style Dies In Horror Crash — Limpopo Music Industry Shattered Again

The Limpopo music scene has been rocked by yet another heartbreaking tragedy — and fans are struggling to process it. Nova SA Style, whose real name was Mpho Eric Ngoepe, has sadly passed away following a horrific car accident while travelling to a performance in Mpumalanga. He was only 26 years old.

The devastating news was officially confirmed by his management company, 8.4.4 Entertainment, in a statement released on Monday. According to reports, the fatal accident happened on Friday night while Nova was on his way to an event in Lydenburg.

And what makes the loss even more painful? The young star had just dropped new music and was reportedly excited about the next chapter of his career.

Fans of the fast-rising artist had been vibing to his latest release Skhethehe, a song many believed was about to become another street anthem. Now, instead of celebrating a new era, supporters are mourning a life cut painfully short.

Nova SA Style Death Leaves Lekompo Fans Heartbroken

In an emotional statement, management described Nova as more than just an artist, saying he was family to everyone around him.

They praised his contribution to the Lekompo genre, highlighting the energy, originality and raw street flavour he brought to every track. Nova had quickly become one of the most recognisable rising voices in Limpopo’s exploding music movement.

Apart from Skhethehe, the musician also earned love from fans through songs like 10 Gram and Lerato Le Fedile, tracks that helped cement his place among the province’s exciting new generation of artists.

Messages of shock and heartbreak immediately flooded social media following the announcement, with many fans saying the industry is losing too many young stars too soon.

Limpopo Music Industry Hit By Another Painful Loss

Nova SA Style’s passing comes only days after the death of fellow lekompo artist Queen Terc, whose real name was Mmabatho Tercia Maebela. The 22-year-old also lost her life in a tragic car accident and was laid to rest over the weekend.

Now, with two young artists gone within days of each other, the Limpopo entertainment industry is battling grief, fear and growing concern.

The chairman of the Limpopo Artists Movement, Mphoza Mashabela, admitted the situation has left many devastated. He called on the public to keep the affected families and survivors of the crash in their prayers.

Over the past few years, the province has also mourned artists including Juddy Malekere, Fuego and Kenny Bevhula — making this latest tragedy feel even heavier for fans of the genre.
