Lekompo Star Kharishma Involved In Fatal Car Crash

South Africa’s music industry is reeling in shock after reports that Limpopo sensation Kharishma was involved in a fatal car accident in the early hours of Friday morning, 31 October 2025.

The beloved Lekompo hitmaker — real name Melita Mogale — who won the 2024 Song of the Year on both Thobela FM and Capricorn FM, was rushed to hospital following the horrific crash.

 Tragic Crash That Shook Kharishma’s Fans

According to early reports, the accident happened around 4 AM at the intersection of Grobler and Magazyn Streets in Polokwane. One passenger who was travelling with the artist tragically lost their life at the scene.

Kharishma was immediately transported to an undisclosed hospital for treatment. Details of her condition remain unclear at the time of writing. The South African Police Service (SAPS) has yet to issue an official statement confirming the cause of the crash, but sources suggest that investigations are already underway.
