Lamiez, who is happily married, admitted she once predicted this very misunderstanding. She recalled a day they spent together in Melrose, one of Johannesburg’s affluent suburbs, where she noticed strangers eyeing them suspiciously.

“My dad gets calls, ‘Hi, we’d like to confirm whether or not you’re having an affair with DJ Lamiez.’ We were spotted in Melrose, just the two of us, and I said to him, ‘Papa, the way these people are looking at us, they’ll assume that we’re dating.’ But he dismissed me.”

Why Lamiez Holworthy Decided to Go Public

Things reached boiling point when people started contacting her mother to verify the rumours. That’s when Lamiez took matters into her own hands — posting a picture with Chicco to make the truth public.

She further revealed that DNA tests confirmed their bond beyond any doubt.

“That’s my dad, such a cool guy. I am so blessed to get to connect with him now.”
