LaConco Puts Her Podcast On Hold After Getting A Guest Challenge

Media personality Nonkanyiso “LaConco” Conco has temporarily put her podcast, Timeline with LaConco, on hold. Speaking during an Instagram Live, LaConco explained that while the show started with great momentum, securing guests has become her biggest hurdle.

“The podcast’s purpose was never to generate revenue but to reveal the truth. However, because of the name, Timeline with LaConco,” she said.

She revealed that her initial vision was to invite guests with powerful life stories, but many did not respond to her invitations.

“I invited people whom I believed had brilliant stories and met a certain standard, but they didn’t respond. I don’t know if they didn’t want to come or if there was another reason, but until God redirects the purpose of the show, it’s on hold,” she shared.

Guest Invitations Remain the Biggest Obstacle

She emphasised that she does not chase after potential guests. “Unfortunately, I’m not the kind of person who begs or keeps reminding people. If you don’t respond to my invite, I take it as if you’ve declined,” she explained.

She also admitted that her production team may not yet be strong enough to secure the right lineup of voices. “For that reason, the podcast has been put on hold,” she said.

Early Success but Declining Viewership

Despite the challenges, LaConco highlighted that the first five episodes performed well, covering topics such as her personal journey, weight loss, career, and relationships. The show launched in February 2025, quickly gaining traction.

The debut episode on 28 February drew over 514,000 views, but by 16 May, viewership had dropped to just over 67,000.

LaConco remains hopeful, noting that the project could return once its direction and support system are clearer.
