KZN Man Takes His Life After Shooting Partner In Westville Domestic Dispute

A man from KwaZulu-Natal has died following a shooting incident that left his partner critically injured at a business complex in Westville, Durban, on Tuesday.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene after reports of gunfire, with paramedics arriving to find a woman suffering from severe gunshot wounds.

She was stabilised on site and rushed to hospital for urgent medical care, while the man was declared dead at the scene.

Westville Domestic Dispute Sparks Emergency Response

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said initial information pointed to a domestic-related incident that escalated rapidly.

“Initial reports are that there was some sort of domestic dispute and the man pulled out a firearm and shot the woman before allegedly turning the gun on himself,” Jamieson said.

Authorities have not yet released further details as investigations continue.

The woman remains in a critical condition under medical care. Police are expected to provide additional information as the investigation progresses.
