KZN Man Stabbed By Best Friend After Being Caught In Bed With Girlfriend

A night of drinking ended in bloodshed and betrayal in Hilltop, KwaZulu-Natal, after a man was repeatedly stabbed by his best friend. According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), officers responded to a distress call early Sunday morning and found an adult male suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The victim told officers that he had been drinking at a local tavern with his friend and the friend’s girlfriend. When the friend passed out at the tavern, the victim offered to walk the girlfriend home.

Friend Caught in Bed at 3AM

At around 3:00 AM, the boyfriend reportedly woke up and also made his way home—only to find the door locked. He forced his way into the home through a window and discovered a shocking scene: his girlfriend and his best friend in bed together.

In a fit of rage, he allegedly climbed through the window and stabbed his friend multiple times before fleeing the scene.

Knife Recovered, Suspect on the Run

Reaction Unit South Africa confirmed that the knife used in the stabbing was recovered from the home. A photo of the weapon was shared as part of the investigation.

The suspect is believed to be on the run, and authorities are continuing their search.
