Kim Kardashian Calls ChatGPT Her ‘Frenemy’ After Failing Law Tests Due To Wrong Answers

Kim Kardashian has opened up about her complicated relationship with artificial intelligence, admitting that ChatGPT has let her down more than once.
In a candid Vanity Fair interview, the reality TV star and aspiring lawyer revealed that the AI tool has given her false legal information — even causing her to fail tests.
“I use [ChatGPT] for legal advice, so when I am needing to know the answer to a question, I will take a picture and snap it and put it in there,” Kardashian explained. “They’re always wrong. It has made me fail tests… And then I’ll get mad and I’ll yell at it and be like, ‘You made me fail!’”
Kardashian, who has been studying to become a lawyer for several years, said her experiences with Chat-GPT have turned into a “toxic friendship.” Despite its convenience, the AI platform has become an unreliable study companion.
AI Hallucinations: When ChatGPT Gets It Wrong
ChatGPT, the language model developed by OpenAI, is known for generating what experts call “hallucinations” — confidently delivering incorrect information.
The tool doesn’t actually know facts; instead, it predicts likely responses based on vast data patterns. This means its answers can sound convincing but still be completely wrong.
Even legal professionals have fallen victim to this flaw. Several lawyers have faced penalties after submitting AI-generated legal briefs that cited non-existent cases, revealing the dangers of relying on AI for factual accuracy.
Kim Kardashian’s Futile Attempts to Appeal to AI Emotions
Despite knowing the chatbot isn’t human, Kardashian admitted she often tries to reason with it after receiving bad advice.
“I will talk to it and say, ‘Hey, you’re going to make me fail, how does that make you feel that you need to really know these answers?’” she said. “And then it’ll say back to me, ‘This is just teaching you to trust your own instincts.’”

But while ChatGPT has no emotions, Kardashian certainly does. She said she often shares screenshots of her AI interactions with friends, laughing at how the chatbot “talks back” to her.
“I screenshot all the time and send it to my group chat, like, ‘Can you believe this b— is talking to me like this?’” she added.
