Kgosientsho Ramokgopa Escapes Unharmed After Car Accident

The Minister of Electricity, Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, has miraculously escaped unharmed after a car accident.

The incident took place on Sunday afternoon while the minister was traveling from the party’s campaign trail in North West to Gauteng. The accident involved the vehicle in which Ramokgopa was traveling, along with two protectors, and another vehicle en-route to Gauteng.

According to Tsakane Khambane, the spokesperson for the presidency, all individuals involved in the accident received immediate medical attention.

After a thorough examination, the minister was discharged without the need for hospital admission. Khambane confirmed that the minister is in good health and has extended his heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured in the accident. He also expressed his best wishes to all individuals affected by the incident.

This incident comes just a month after former President Jacob Zuma was also involved in a car accident in KwaZulu-Natal. Zuma was traveling from Nkandla to Eshowe in KwaZulu-Natal when the car in his convoy crashed between Gingindlovu and Eshowe. Fortunately, neither Zuma nor his bodyguards sustained any injuries in the crash.

A 52-year-old man, who was accused of crashing into the car transporting Zuma, was arrested and granted R500 bail after appearing in the Eshowe Magistrate’s Court.

The MK Party, for which Zuma was campaigning, referred to the accident as a “so-called accident” and suspected foul play. Musa Mkhize, the head of elections for the MK Party, alleged that Zuma’s security had been significantly reduced and expressed concerns for his safety since he announced his support for the party.
