Kgolo Daguru’s “Farewell, Pretty Wings” Apology To Annie Mthembu Backfires

After God fear men, struu! The streets finally have their answer about what went down between former Real Housewives of Durban star Annie Mthembu and her now-ex-husband, businessman and former nightclub owner Kgolo Daguru.

Annie didn’t mince her words on Engineer Your Life, spilling that she ditched Kgolo, because the man was out here entertaining side chicks, leaving her humiliated and questioning everything:

“No one likes to be cheated on. It makes you question yourself a lot. Are you enough, you know, is there something wrong with me?”

Apparently, the man she thought she knew was a completely different gent in the streets — and when Annie clocked it, she bounced fast. The timing couldn’t have been worse — her exit from RHOD came as Kgolo’s business fortunes dipped, and their marriage collapsed.

Kgolo Breaks Silence – But the Apology Doesn’t Land

On 12 August 2025, Kgolo decided to “man up” and drop an IG statement after a clip of Annie’s interview started trending. He admitted to doing her dirty and apologised to his ex and their kids:

“No matter the personal struggles I was facing, there’s never an excuse for dishonouring God’s blessings. I deeply regret the pain l’ve caused you. As the head of the family, I let everyone down.”

But it’s the dramatic ending that had the TL in absolute chaos: “Annie, from the bottom of my heart, I wish you true love, healing and peace. Farewell, Pretty Wings.”

Yes… “Pretty Wings” — as in the Maxwell heartbreak ballad. And just like that, “Pretty Wings” went from romantic to ridiculous in 0.3 seconds.

Kgolo probably thought his post would make him look deep and remorseful. Instead, the streets dragged him by his silk shirt. The “Pretty Wings” part? Eish… that’s now the joke of the week:
