Katiso ‘KT’ Molefe’s Armed ‘Bodyguards’ Arrested With Illegal Assault Rifles Outside Court

Two men believed to be part of alleged crime boss Katiso “KT” Molefe’s security team were arrested outside the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday after police allegedly discovered two semi-automatic AKM rifles and ammunition in their possession.
SAPS national spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe confirmed that the suspects, aged 24 and 36, were acting as bodyguards for an accused person appearing in court.
Though SAPS did not name the individual they were escorting, sources told SurgeZirc SA the men form part of Molefe’s protection detail.
Firearms Found During Police Operation Outside Court
Molefe was at the courthouse on Wednesday as the State worked to consolidate multiple high-profile cases against him, including murder, conspiracy and firearms charges.
According to police, officers conducting operations outside the court searched a vehicle transporting the two suspects. Inside, they allegedly found the AKM rifles and ammunition.
