Julius Malema Legal Team Moves Swiftly To Appeal Court Ruling

Moments after the sentence was delivered in the KuGompo City court, formerly known as East London, Malema’s legal representatives filed an application for leave to appeal the decision.

If the sentence is upheld following all appeals, Malema would be disqualified from serving as a member of parliament.
