Foreign National Busted For Drugs In Joint Operation

A joint operation between the Anti-Economic Crime Task Team and the Provincial Counterfeit and Illicit Policing Team resulted in a drug bust in Wynberg on Wednesday, 19 March 2025.

The operation, conducted at approximately 05:00, targeted criminal activity at the Grand Central Flats on Main Road.

During a search and seizure operation, authorities uncovered a substantial haul of illicit drugs, including 365 Boss mandrax tablets, 130g of tik, 20g of cocaine, 100 ecstasy tablets, and 9 medium crushed mandrax tablets.

Suspect Arrested For Drug Possession And Dealing

A 43-year-old foreign national, who was found on the premises during the raid, was arrested for possession of drugs and dealing in illicit substances.

The arrested suspect was taken to Wynberg SAPS, where he will remain in custody until his first court appearance at the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court.
