Johannesburg CBD Shooting: Three Gunned Down At Restaurant In Broad Daylight

A shocking shooting incident has left three men dead at a restaurant in the Johannesburg city centre. The victims, believed to be between the ages of 30 and 45, were attacked while sitting down for breakfast on Monday morning.

According to authorities, the men were ambushed by armed suspects who opened fire before fleeing the scene. Emergency services arrived shortly after, where all three victims were declared dead.

Masked Gunmen Still on the Run in Johannesburg Shooting

Police confirmed that two suspects, both wearing masks, carried out the deadly attack. The identities of the gunmen remain unknown, and no arrests have been made so far.

Gauteng police spokesperson Noxolo Kweza said, “The suspects were wearing masks. The victim was certified dead on the scene”.

Investigators are continuing their search for leads as they work to track down those responsible for the killings.

Police Condemn ‘Senseless Killing’ as Motive Remains Unknown

The motive behind the shooting is still unclear, with authorities yet to determine why the victims were targeted. Gauteng Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni has strongly criticised the incident.
