Jessica Motaung Appointed To FIFA Men’s Football Stakeholders Committee

Kaizer Chiefs’ accomplished administrator, Jessica Motaung, has earned a place among world football’s top decision-makers after being appointed to the FIFA Men’s Football Stakeholders Committee.

The 52-year-old South African joins an elite group of global football leaders tasked with addressing the game’s structure and fostering cooperation between clubs, players, leagues, and associations within FIFA’s framework.

Jessica Motaung’s inclusion marks another milestone in her distinguished career and underlines her growing influence within the sport.

This appointment comes on the heels of Motaung’s 2023 election as the First Deputy Chairperson of the African Clubs Association (ACA) in Cairo, Egypt — a move that solidified her standing among the continent’s football powerhouses.

Her new FIFA role not only recognises her personal contributions but also signifies the increasing presence of African administrators in global football governance.

Earlier this month, former Premier Soccer League referee Victor Gomes was also recognised by FIFA, joining its Referees Committee following a highly respected officiating career.

Africa’s representation within FIFA continues to grow. ACA Chairman Eng. Hersi Said was recently named a member of the FIFA Men’s Club Competitions Committee, while Morocco FA President Fouzi Lekjaa joined as the first Council Member.

Adding to the list, Cameroon FA President Samuel Eto’o has taken on the role of Vice President of FIFA’s Laws of the Game Committee, further showcasing the continent’s strengthening role in shaping world football policy.
