The leader of the Umkhonto weSizwe (MK) party, Jacob Zuma, has formally announced his intention to appeal his expulsion from the African National Congress (ANC).

This development comes as the ANC’s National Disciplinary Committee prepares for a virtual meeting on Friday to review Zuma’s case. He was expelled from the ANC in July due to allegations of bringing the party into disrepute by establishing and campaigning for a rival political entity.

Zuma Remarks

During a media briefing, the former ANC president inadvertently referred to the ANC instead of the MK party, leading to speculation about his political loyalties.

His comments indicated a persistent bond with the ANC, despite his dual membership in the MK party. In a revealing statement, Zuma mentioned, “Politicians who are able to put things and see what is right and wrong have been coming to the ANC. Sorry, eish, this thing is killing me.”
