‘He Shot Me In My Private Parts!’ — Mamelodi Man Survives Horror Attack That Killed Cousins

A 27-year-old Mamelodi man, who survived a deadly shooting that claimed the lives of his cousins, Tshiamo and Baleseng Moramaga, has described the horrifying ordeal — saying he was shot in his private parts by the alleged gunman, Tebogo Mnisi.

Speaking to EWN, Desmond Senong said he believes only divine intervention saved him in the early hours of Sunday morning when Mnisi allegedly opened fire.

Senong explained that he had met his cousins at Small Konka Shisanyama in Mamelodi East on Saturday night, where they spent the evening dancing and socialising. He shared videos with EWN showing them enjoying themselves just hours before tragedy struck.

The shooting reportedly stemmed from an argument with Mnisi, believed to be the boyfriend of one of the women at the venue. While walking home at around 2:30am, Mnisi allegedly drove up and opened fire, fatally wounding the cousins and hitting Senong in his private parts.

Neighbours rushed the wounded Senong to hospital, where doctors revealed that the bullet had destroyed one of his testicles.

“The doctor told me I’ve lost one testicle, so I may not be able to have more children or I may struggle,” Senong told EWN. Despite the pain, he managed to flee the scene, jumping over walls and through yards until he reached help.

Suspect in Custody

Police have confirmed that Tebogo Mnisi was arrested and appeared in the Mamelodi Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, facing five charges including murder, attempted murder, and firearm-related offences.

The Moramaga family remains in mourning as the investigation continues, with authorities gathering statements and forensic evidence to ensure Mnisi faces the full force of the law.
