Gunmen Kill Four In Eastern Cape Shack, Police Launch Urgent Manhunt

A chilling mass shooting has rocked Airport Valley in Walmer, Eastern Cape, where four people were gunned down in the early hours of Friday morning. The victims — two brothers and two teenage girls aged between 17 and 22 — were discovered inside a shack with fatal gunshot wounds.

Police confirmed that the gruesome discovery was made shortly after midnight, sparking an immediate response from law enforcement.

 Eastern Cape Police Reveal Details of Brutal Walmer Killings

According to provincial police spokesperson Brigadier Nobuntu Gantana, officers were alerted to the incident at around 12:34am after receiving a call via radio control.

“Officers proceeded to a residence on Ndlovu Street, Airport Valley in Walmer. Upon arrival, they were met by the complainant outside the premises, who led them to a shack on the property,” Gantana said.

Inside the shack, officers found the lifeless bodies of the four victims. “The deceased are two brothers aged 20 and 22, a 19-year-old female, and a 17-year-old female,” Gantana confirmed.

Preliminary findings indicate that the 22-year-old victim was shot on the right side of his face, while his 20-year-old brother suffered two gunshot wounds to the same area. Both teenage girls were shot in the head.

Manhunt Underway as Motive Remains Unknown

The complainant reportedly told police he had briefly left the property to visit a nearby shop, only to return and find the victims dead.

Authorities have since opened four murder cases, but no arrests have been made so far. The motive behind the killings remains unclear and is still under investigation.
