Gqeberha Triple Murder: Two Women And 9-Year-Old Girl Shot Dead In Soweto-on-Sea

A detective team from the Provincial Serious Violent Crime Unit (SVCI) in Gqeberha is urgently tracing suspects linked to a brutal shooting that left two women, aged 40 and 65, and a 9-year-old girl dead.
The incident took place on Monday evening, 08 September 2025, at around 19:40 on Malibale Street, Soweto-on-Sea in Kwazakele.
According to reports that can be confirmed by SurgeZirc SA, SAPS Kwazakele responded to the scene after community members reported hearing multiple gunshots.
Upon arrival, police were informed that residents discovered the victims’ bodies inside a house and immediately raised the alarm. Medical personnel declared all three victims dead at the scene.
Detectives Probe Motive Behind Shooting The Women And The Girl
The Provincial SVCI is investigating three counts of murder. At this stage, the motive and exact circumstances remain unclear and will form part of the ongoing investigation.
Police confirmed that the victims’ identities will only be released once their next of kin have been officially notified.
