Queen B may seem to be facing a difficult period in her career right now. A difficult period that does not involve a man this time but her career management. As Fans rally behind her, it may seem Pearl Thusi suddenly has her back too…

It is no news that both Pearl and Bonang Matheba have not always been close, a recent nod to when a viral video of DJ Zinhle’s former best friend trended where she was seen mocking Bonang.

Pearl was caught on camera making fun of Bonang’s abuse story. The ambassador of House OF BNG (Queen B) was bruised and scarred face allegedly at the hands of Euphonik made rounds all over social media and instead of women showing her support, they laughed behind her back.

Euphonik called her ‘Hlanyo’ (crazy woman) which set people off. A video of Pearl and Linda Moeketsi cheerleading for Euphonik and calling themselves Hlanyo was dug up and trended again, despite having happened years ago.

But this time, Pearl, who is obviously no longer best of friends with DJ Zinhle,  is showing support for Bonang as she tweeted and warned people who are mocking her compatriot during her crisis.

She came out to call out everyone mocking Bonang and calling them Witches. “Celebrating a turbulent time in someone else’s life is proof of ub’thakathi,” she said

She further explained that celebrating someone else’s suffering shows nothing but a lack of Empathy.

“Don’t ever be happy when someone is suffering. It only exposes a lack of empathy, self-esteem and maturity. Only a witch celebrates such outcomes.”

In the end, it was a breath of fresh air to see powerful women standing up for one another in difficult times. A move that is much needed in a world where men believe women can be pushovers.
