Google is currently in search of a new country director for South Africa. This prominent position is advertised on the company’s careers portal and aims to find a successor to Alistair Mokoena, who has held the role since April 2020.

The new Country Director will report to the Managing Director, Sub-Saharan Africa, and will be a vital member of the SSA management group. The role involves leading Google’s business operations in South Africa, helping millions of users maximize their online experiences.
The appointed leader will manage a highly skilled commercial team based in Johannesburg, representing Google across various functional teams in the region.
They will also play a key role in shaping how new and existing businesses grow, leveraging their knowledge of online media and digital technologies.
