Google Gemini AI App May Get Major Visual Revamp With Scrollable Feed

Google appears to be preparing a major makeover for its Gemini AI app, shifting from its current chatbot-style interface to a more dynamic, visually engaging experience.

According to Android Authority, the latest Android version of Gemini includes a hidden home screen that reveals a scrollable feed packed with suggested prompts and eye-catching images.

These changes, uncovered by a reverse engineer, also reposition shortcut buttons such as “Create Image” and “Deep Research” at the top of the screen, followed by the new feed layout.

When approached for comment, a Google spokesperson said there was no announcement to share “just yet.”

New Prompts Aim to Inspire Google Gemini Users

In the unreleased design, Gemini suggests creative ways to use the AI tool, particularly with photos. Prompts include:

“Teleport me to deep space”

“Give me a vintage or grunge look”

“Turn my drawing into a storybook”

Other prompts showcase broader capabilities, such as “Brainstorm out loud with Live” or “Send me a daily news roundup.” The move appears to be an effort to make Gemini easier to explore while encouraging users to unlock its wider potential.

The redesign could be Google’s response to rising competition in the AI app market. OpenAI’s Sora video editing app recently topped the U.S. App Store, overtaking Gemini, which had surged to the No. 1 spot in September thanks to its new AI image model, Nano Banana.

While OpenAI’s ChatGPT app remains minimalist with its blank start screen, Google’s updated design could give Gemini a competitive edge by making the app more visually appealing and user-friendly.
