Gogo Skhotheni Shines In Acting Debut On Mzansi Magic’s Puseletso

She’s conquered reality TV, turned up the decks as a DJ, and even dropped gems on her podcast—but now, Gogo Skhotheni is ready to rule your screens in a whole new way. Tumi Motsoeneng, better known as Gogo Skhotheni, has made her acting debut in Mzansi Magic’s latest drama film, Puseletso.

Fans first met Skhotheni on her hit Moja Love reality show, where she gave viewers a front-row seat into the life of a traditional healer. Over time, she’s proven she’s more than just a sangoma—branching into podcasting and DJing. Now, she’s taking on one of her biggest dreams yet: acting.

“I’ve always wanted to be an actress, it’s what I wanted before I became a sangoma. I used to be an extra on Muvhango. I have an advertisement I did for Lotto as a main character,” she told reporters.

Gogo Skhotheni Stepping Into Sister Rachel

In Puseletso, Skhotheni plays Sister Rachel, a character that challenged her in more ways than one.

“Playing Sister Rachel was a bit challenging because I was a sangoma when we shot it, and we hadn’t announced that I was no longer practising. It was a bit challenging but Sister Rachel is someone who helps people, which I could relate to because it’s what I do naturally,” she explained.

The film also stars Mapula Mafole and Mpho Molepo, who Skhotheni says guided her through the process.

“I asked a lot of questions which they were willing to answer because I wanted to deliver my best. I’m praying for more gigs. I hope Puseletso can open more doors for me to get fully into the acting industry.”
