According to the streets (and News24), Mgube—who is allegedly the brother of  Gogo Maweni’s hubby, Sabelo—was arrested on 31 January 2025 after allegedly shooting two traditional healers, Faith Mafilika (aka Baba Vondwe Mkhatshwa) and Bandile Kubheka. And here’s the spicy part? These two were reportedly close to Maweni.

Murder Allegations Keep Piling Up!

Now, let’s talk about the elephant in the room: Maweni herself is apparently under investigation for five murder cases between 2020 and 2024.

Two of them allegedly went down in Orange Farm around April 2024. Make it make sense! Mafilika’s family is just glad someone is finally getting arrested, but they’re also wondering why it took this long.

Mgube has already pulled up to court on 3 and 5 February and will stay locked up until his next court date on 12 February for a bail hearing.
