“She Tried To End My Career!” Glen Gabela Alleges Leleti Khumalo Threatened To Blacklist Him After Uzalo Exit

Soapie streets are on absolute fire this week after veteran actor Glen Gabela dropped a bombshell that left Uzalo fans clutching their pearls.
The former Shaka star has resurfaced with claims that a legendary actress allegedly threatened to blacklist him from the industry after he exited SABC1’s hit soapie Uzalo — and yes, names were named.
Gabela, who has previously trended after allegations that he was struggling financially and asking for donations, is once again dominating timelines — this time over claims of industry sabotage, depression, and dark forces at play.
Glen Gabela Claims Leleti Khumalo Had Him Blacklisted
In a video shared on X by @RealSihleIV on 11 January 2026, Gabela speaks candidly about his experience in the industry, alleging that Leleti Khumalo, his on-screen wife Manzuza on Uzalo, played a role in his sudden career drought.

According to Gabela, his source told him that Leleti allegedly refused to continue working with him, resigned from the show, and then took it a step further — allegedly threatening to approach the SABC to ensure he was never hired again.
“My colleague, my wife Manzuza… she resigned because she won’t be able to work with Glen Gabela,” he claims.
“Apparently, she threatened to go to the SABC to blacklist me so that the SABC should never ever hire me.”
Gabela says the alleged move left him emotionally shattered, especially at a time when his mother was seriously ill, his daughter depended on him, and he was the sole breadwinner.
“I was devastated… I put my eggs in one basket. I was attacked by depression for three months,” he shared.

He also hinted at what he called “agents of evil and the dark world” operating within the industry — comments that had social media divided between sympathy and side-eyes.

As expected, the clip sparked heated debate online. Some fans believe Glen is finally speaking his truth, while others feel there’s more to the story than he’s letting on.
One user, @jabulanidvd, dropped a hard lesson:
“Salary is a seed, grow it outside where you get it… People won’t like you. Come first and love yourself.”
Another, @LindoKaAB, backed the actor, saying:
“Knowing Bra Glen, there is a lot of truth in what he is saying.”
But not everyone is buying the narrative. @RealSihleIV, who posted the video, added fuel to the fire:
“He must’ve been toxic as well, but chooses to be a victim.”
Mzansi, what’s your take? Is Glen Gabela exposing a dark side of the industry — or avoiding accountability? And should legends like Leleti Khumalo respond, or stay silent?
