German Millionairess And Safari Lodge Manager Found Dead In Limpopo

Police in Limpopo have launched two separate inquests following the deaths of a young German heiress and the financial manager of her family’s luxury safari lodge.
The incidents occurred at Leeuwfontein Farm in the Bulgerivier area, where both individuals were discovered dead within days of each other. Authorities have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
German Millionairess Found Dead On Limpopo Farm
The German millionairess, Caroline von Rantzau, 26, was found dead on 1 June with a gunshot wound.
According to Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, officers opened an inquest after her body was discovered at the farm. The exact circumstances leading to her death have not yet been established.
Police said a postmortem examination will be conducted as part of the investigation to determine the precise cause of death.
Safari Lodge Financial Manager Found Dead Days Earlier
The safari lodge manager, identified as 44-year-old Arno Koën, was discovered dead at the same property on 31 May.
Police said Koën appeared to have sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. An inquest docket was subsequently opened following the discovery.

Authorities have not revealed whether the two deaths are linked. Investigators are still gathering evidence as they work to establish what happened.

Von Rantzau was the daughter of Eberhart von Rantzau, a German businessman who co-manages Deutsche Afrika-Linien GmbH, a shipping and logistics company.
Police have not disclosed any possible motive or circumstances surrounding the deaths. Investigations remain ongoing, and officials say postmortem results will play a key role in determining the next steps.
