Gauteng Hawks Boss Ebrahim Kadwa And Crime Intelligence Officer Feroz Khan Arrested

Two senior police officers and a civilian have been arrested in connection with alleged illicit precious metals transactions, corruption and related offences. Sources confirmed that Ebrahim Kadwa and Feroz Khan were among those arrested by the Political Killings Task Team.
Kadwa was reportedly arrested on Saturday, while Khan was arrested on Sunday after his apartment in Houghton was raided.
Police Confirm Arrests Following Investigation
Athlenda Mathe confirmed the arrests, saying they followed an intensive investigation by the Gauteng Counter-Intelligence Operations unit.

“These arrests form part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement to dismantle criminal networks involved in the illicit trade of precious minerals and corruption,” Mathe said.
Police did not officially identify the officers arrested.
Ebrahim Kadwa, Feroz Khan Court Appearance Expected On Monday
The suspects are expected to appear before the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
They are expected to face charges including unlawful dealing in precious metals, corruption, defeating the ends of justice and contravention of legislation regulating precious metals in South Africa.
Investigations into the matter are continuing.
