Gangster Shooting: Victim In Wynberg Court Identified As Accused

A shocking shooting incident unfolded Tuesday, at the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court building in Cape Town, where a man was gunned down in a brazen attack.
The victim, an accused individual appearing at Court D, sustained three gunshot wounds to the head following a shooting by a yet to be identified suspect and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The Western Cape spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Eric Ntabazalila, confirmed the incident.
Security Lapses
The shooting attack has raised serious questions about the security measures in place at the court building.

Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development, Xola Nqola, expressed shock and dismay, stating that the attackers seemed to have no fear of consequences.
“What is more worrying is the fact that these brutal attackers walked into a court building whilst armed when they shot the victim in the lobby.
The question now is, how did they manage to enter the building with firearms without being detected?” Nqola questioned.

Gang Affiliation
According to sources, the victim was allegedly affiliated with the Junky Funky Kidz (JFK) gang, which has been embroiled in an ongoing conflict with taxi drivers in the Vrygrond area.
The victim had reportedly faced multiple attempts on his life prior to the incident.
