Thato Sibolla a friend of the deceased who survived the 2017 gun down in which the first lady of Lesotho (Lipolelo) was murdered, has filled court papers pushing back against Maesiah Thabane liberate from imprisonment.
Thato Sibolla is asking for protection in South Africa while she interrogated the conditions under which Maesiah Thabane was given bail.
Sibolla was in the car with Lipolelo when a gunman pointed a gun on them three years ago. It’s claimed that Maesiah was behind the murder of Lesotho’s first lady.
The late first lady’s friend Thato who survived the incident has told Eye Witness News that she fears for her life and was in South Africa to apply for asylum.
She is now going to testify in the murder case against Maesiah Thabane.
The prime minister Tom Thabane’s grandson, who was named after him, is also an applicant, demanding the decision to give the first lady bail.
