Free State Police Hunt Suspect Accused Of Luring And Raping Women Through Facebook

Police in the Free State have launched an urgent manhunt for a suspect accused of using social media to lure, drug and rape women.

Authorities said Lloyd McDonald Siswe Jacobs, 32, is wanted on charges including rape and conspiracy to commit murder after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Free State Police Search For Suspected Facebook Rapist

Police allege that Jacobs used the alias “Shane Carson” on Facebook to target women online before arranging meetings with them.

Investigators believe the suspect used social media platforms to gain the trust of victims before allegedly carrying out attacks.

Authorities have warned members of the public not to approach Jacobs, describing him as dangerous.

Woman Allegedly Drugged And Raped In Bloemfontein Flat

In one of the cases under investigation, a 35-year-old woman allegedly met the suspect for a first date at a flat in Navalsig earlier this month.

Police said the woman was allegedly given a drink that left her disoriented before she was forced into a bathroom and raped.

According to investigators, the victim managed to escape after convincing the suspect to allow her outside for fresh air.

Police Believe There May Be More Victims

Investigators suspect there could be additional victims linked to the case and have urged anyone with information to come forward.

Police are also appealing to anyone who may have interacted with the suspect online or experienced similar incidents to contact authorities immediately.

The investigation remains ongoing as officers continue efforts to locate and arrest Jacobs.
