Four Killed In N2 KwaZulu-Natal Crash Involving Car And Heavy Vehicle

Four people lost their lives in a tragic road accident along the N2 between Amatigulu and Dokodweni in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday morning.
According to preliminary reports, a small car collided with a heavy motor vehicle, leaving the scene devastated.
Authorities confirmed four fatalities, but it remains unclear how many people were travelling in each vehicle at the time of the crash.
Investigation Underway For The N2 Crash
The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport confirmed that the Road Traffic Inspectorate is currently investigating the cause of the collision. Officials are expected to release more details once the inquiry is complete.
Transport department spokesperson Ndabezinhle Sibiya expressed concern over the tragic event and urged road users to remain cautious.
MEC Expresses Sadness After Successful Roadblock Operation
Sibiya explained that Transport MEC Siboniso Duma was deeply saddened by the incident, particularly as it came just hours after a successful multi-disciplinary roadblock operation across the province.

“The accident happened shortly after the MEC had issued a report, informing the people of KwaZulu-Natal and the country as a whole of a very successful multi-disciplinary roadblock that took place last night until the wee hours of the morning,” Sibiya said.
